Compare Canon Rebel T1i/D500 vs Nikon D5000
Honestly, we could discuss the merits of the D5000 and Rebel T1i many days on the basis of specific only. In some areas, the T1i appear higher, while the D5000 looks better in others. But in reality, this is more than numbers and marketing hoopla. This is “the feeling”, it is characteristic and is the value proposition. In some way, Canon has effectively managed to produce a machine that actually rivals Nikon model that assumes a step on the scale of DSLRs. We know, all the seeds are marketing insisting that the Rebel T1i and the D5000 are really the main competitor, but frankly even the D90 should be on red alert.

After using the T1i along the D5000, an exceptional thing became clear to us: T1i just feels and acts more like a professional camera than the D5000. That’s because the better deal is constructed, there is greater flexibility because of a ceiling higher ISO and a couple of megapixels ,and the video mode is marginally decent – by saying that is really something emerging world of video capable DSLRs. In terms of image quality, you’re really splitting hairs. Both cameras offer incredible shots for the money, and both are sure to impress their customers. If you are already invested in one brand or the other with lenses and accessories, or the D5000, or the T1i offers nothing mind-numbing enough to completely derail you and hops more ambiguous “dark side”, but for those new l ‘arena with nothing to lose, will be mighty hard to turn down the last $ 800 Canon body. In this price range, the only machine that is better than how T1i the Nikon D90, which is currently streeting for about $ 90 more (body only) compared to T1i’s MSRP (body only, also).
We know that you probably magnified here hoping to infinite wisdom, an epiphany or a combination of both, but the sad fact is that the “entry-level” DSLR realm is very narrow, and we have not yet begun to mix in options from Sony , Pentax and the rest of the band. If you have somehow reduced the options to D5000 or T1i, spending extra bones and choose T1i unless you have some Nikon accessories. You’ll appreciate the superior fit and finish, and the film in 1080p mode is not bad. Oh, and belive me – you will not miss that articulating display. That’s it. Hope it help you to make your decision.

The Digic 4 processor appears to process/save the 15 megapixel images in the same time (if not faster) than the Digic III processor on the XSi (even in RAW+Jpg mode). I have also noticed that at higher ISOs, the sensor and the Digic 4 produce images with less overall noise compared with its predecessors.
