It seems that every month there is a new digital camera on the market that claim to be the best digital camera. Like mobile phones, there seems to be a lot of features in digital cameras today. So how do you know what is best and what is right for you?

Here are some factors you might want to consider before buying this model of digital camera later.

1) Megapixels

The most important feature of any digital camera is its megapixels. In general, the higher the megapixels, best digital image that can take. The resolution of your digital images is based on the pixels that form the images. One megapixel equals 1 million pixels. Most digital cameras on the market have between 3 to 5 megapixels is more than enough if you are printing on A4 size paper.

If you are printing on banner or widening of the digital image, you may need a higher megapixel camera.

2) Zoom

Most digital cameras today have both optical and digital zoom features. Most digital cameras with an optical zoom of 3 to 10 times. Be sure to select a higher optical zoom, which is better than digital zoom.

3) Size of the LCD

A larger LCD screen helps you review the images taken without strabismus. It is also easier to shoot when the LCD is larger. Most digital cameras have an LCD screen of 1.5 inches. I prefer the LCD is at least 2 inches.

4) Memory Card

Almost all digital cameras have the ability to maintain a memory card. The difference is the type of memory card and the storage capacity of the card. Sony cameras can only use the Memory Stick from Sony, while others use CompactFlash or SD card format.

Regardless of the type of memory card you use, be sure to get enough memory card storage. Especially if you have a digital camera megapixel high as it can take up to a large storage for a single digital image. My recommendation is to get a 512 MB to 1 GB card size. Should be sufficient to maintain at least 500 images. Prices of flash memory are falling like crazy so the cost is negligible.
